Theme: “The Time is Always Right to Do What is Right” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This vibrant and inspiring community event will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, festivities begin 2:00 pm and the parade starts at 3:00 pm on the corner of (Hull and Washington) downtown Athens, Georgia.
We invite individuals, schools, nonprofits, and organizations from Athens and surrounding counties—Barrow, Jackson, Oconee, Madison, and beyond—to join this celebration of equality, diversity, and community through music, art, and civic engagement.
Time:
Participants, including schools, churches, dance teams, nonprofits, and other community groups, are encouraged to join the celebration. Vendors are also invited to showcase their goods and services during the event.
Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., unite our community, and embrace the call to action: “The time is always right to do what is right.”
